The purpose of this map service containing a point feature class is to record feedback from the public on blm.gov for a particular area within the Priority Restoration Landscapes. The BLM has identified priority landscapes to better provide clean water, habitat for fish and wildlife, opportunities for recreation, and more resilience to wildfire and drought. Through this effort we hope to focus limited resources on areas that need long-term commitments to implement a series of restoration actions. Additionally, we will develop plans for these landscapes in which we identify goals, objectives, actions we will take, and a monitoring plan to ensure the effectiveness of our actions. The restoration of the public lands will take all of us, volunteers and partners, researchers and practitioners, visitors, and admirers. We all have a role to play. An essential step is to hear from you. We want your feedback! Specifically, we are interested in hearing from you about these identified landscapes as to:

Why are these landscapes important to you?

What kind of activities do you hope to see done in these areas?

Where would you like to see the BLM place its emphasis in restoring these areas? For example, restoring wildlife habitat, rare plants, water ways, etc.

Do you know of partners that the BLM could work with to accomplish restoration in these areas?

We want to hear from you. Also, we’d like for you to know that although these are considered the priority landscapes for restoration it does not mean that restoration work outside of these landscapes will stop. We will continue restoration work in other areas. Although these areas are identified for restoration, these public lands are still under the BLM’s multiple use mission. – Through restoration, the BLM is ensuring that essential services, habitats, and resources are available for current and future generations.

|
