Description: The Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act (FLTFA), re-authorized in 2018, requires the BLM through the Department of the Interior (DOI) to maintain a dataset of lands currently identified as available for potential disposal. This feature class shows the boundaries for BLM lands potential available for disposal (LPAD). The Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) of 1976 is the primary law that determines the amount of available land the BLM can sell or exchange. The FLPMA also regulates that the land BLM disposes of meets certain criteria.
